I have a guilty confession...
I was reading my old posts and I was secretly enjoying what I wrote and thought back in yesteryears. Quite comical I would say. But mostly filled with my egotistical ramblings of random life experiences. They were about how I was fascinated with random surveys, how I hated bad drivers or how bad school was tearing up my heart.. life. To my surprise, I was even blogging daily at one period. Oh the days when xanga was my proud friend. Where have that excitement gone? Maybe I got too busy (yes), too critical of my writing (yup), too worried about how this post would lack comments (uh huh) or maybe facebook took over me (affirmative).
But I'm going to still remain loyal and keep on writing.... even if it means once a month..months.. years.

I thought I failed.
Not the 'asian' kind of fail where anything lower than a 99% is a fail but literally a big fat F-kinda- fail or EPIC failure if you prefer.
But I'm ecstatic beyond belief right now and just have to blog about it.
I only had 10 minutes left to write my essay exam and came out with a B+. Talk about a miracle. My paragraphs were only 2 sentences long! My writing is beyond legible- even worse than chicken scratches. I think the prof was just being extremely nice and gave me pity marks. Man, this is graduate studies and I'm too ashame to be in school. But whatever, that sure made my day.
Yes, school is a love-hate relationship. Love the people but hate the workload.
That's all folks,
Cheers!

The Curse of my Voice
I knew I shouldn't pick up my house phone. Everyone in my household has their own cell phones so if the house phone rings, there's a very high chance it's either some telemarketers or some long lost family memberasking for money.
So for some odd reason, I picked it up today... thought they would tell me I won the lottery (not that I gamble).
But here's how the conversation usually goes...
Me: "Hello"
Chinese Telemarketer (CT): "Hi, I am calling from blahblah company and I would like to do a survey" (in Chinese)
Me: "Sorry, I'm not interested"
CT: "Oh, you speak no Chinese? Do you have adults in the house? Is your mommy or daddy home?" (Broken English)
Me: "No, you can talk to me and can you please speak English?"
CT: "I'm sorry, we really need to talk to an older person who's 18 and over. Maybe we'll call again ok little girl?"
So, I got insulted and insisted that I am an adult who can speak Chinese but then I got suckered into doing the survey which they promised would take 5 minutes which turned out to be 45 min long. Dang it, what a waste of my time. Those telemarketers sure know how to do business.
So my solution next time?
1. Don't pick up the phone or
2. Pretend to be a little girl and mess with their minds! HA!
I'm telling you, it's the Asian genes. I get treated like a little girl a lot (either when I'm working or traveling) and I attempt to talk with a very low and deep voice. Doesn't work.
But seriously, any suggestions?

HOME SWEET HOME!
I'm back from my summer traveling! The most intense one I've ever done.
I guess I need to revive this page by... well, writing on it. Fine, I'll post some pics.
Dear Fellow Xangans,
I am alive and surviving. For the record, this is the longest I've been MIA. I have my reasons... traveling, working, hibernating, and yes, the infamous Facebook has also taken over my time and now, I'm back to school doing graduate studies. Talk about insanity! I would LOVE to post more pictures of my summer but for now, a simple post shall do. And show me some love if you still use xanga or check it periodically. I need to reclaim my love for weblogging again.
Guess some of the places I've been this summer.
Here's a bank of places in alphabetical order you can match the places with the pictures.
Jerusalem, Israel;
New York City;
Philidelphia, Pennsylvania;
Richmond, BC;
San Jose, California;
Seattle, Washington,
Virginia;
Washington, DC
